National Veterans Network
The National Veterans Network is a national coalition of organizations and individuals dedicated to educating and enlightening the public about the experience and legacy of Japanese American World War II soldiers inspired by the awarding of the Congressional Gold Medal.
In 2009-2011, the National Veterans Network worked together with the United States Congress to support the passage of the Congressional Gold Medal bill in the United States Senate and House of Representatives. In 2012-2014, the National Veterans Network collaborated with the Smithsonian Institution on a seven-city Congressional Gold Medal tour when the gold medal was on display at some of the top history museum in the country. From 2014-preset, the National Veterans Network is partnering with the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History and Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center to develop a state-of the art digital exhibition that will serve as an interpretive component of Congressional Gold Medal. The digital exhibition will be featured in a video with the Nisei Soldier Congressional Gold Medal presently on display in the Price of Freedom exhibit at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington D.C.
